Lead Inspector Risk Assessor Initial

Why Should You Take This Lead Inspector/Risk Asessor Course?
This Lead Inspector/Risk Assessor training is designed to provide information for those individuals who perform lead-based paint inspections, risk assessments and/or clearance examinations on abatement and renovation projects.
This course will teach the legal obligations facing inspectors/risk assessors when inspecting for lead hazards, and individuals will learn to determine whether or not lead-based paint or other lead hazards are present in sufficient quantities to require abatement according to regulatory guidelines. This workshop prepares you to immediately apply your knowledge to the field, with extensive hands-on training and real-world examples from experienced instructors.
Education and Experience Requirements:
One (1) year experience in a related field (eg. Lead, asbestos, environmental remediation work, construction-related health and safety inspection) and one of the following:
1. A Bachelors degree and one (1) additional year of experience in a related field.
2. Certification as a sanitary inspector-grade 1; health officer, an industrial hygienist, an engineer, a registered architect, or an environmentally-related scientific field such as an environmental scientist.
3. A high school diploma (or equivalent) and at least two additional years experience in a related field.
An examination will be given at the end of the course. Upon successful completion of the examination, a Certificate of Completion, along with information and required paperwork for entrance into State examinations, will be issued.
Company Registration: In addition to complying with the training and individual certification requirements, any individual offering to perform lead hazard evaluations in New Jersey must work for a Lead Evaluation Contractor (including if you are self-employed). A $2,518.00 fee is required (as of 2022) - view NJ application and requirements.

Lead Inspector Risk Assessor Refresher

- Review of Federal, State and Local Regulations. Review of health concerns of Lead-Based Paint. Review sampling and testing methods. Review use of XRF paint analyzers.

If renewing for NJ, you must provide proof of permit card to ATI prior to taking the class. The LIRA Refresher is a Bi-Annual Refresher.
NYSDOL Mold Refresher

This course is ran in affiliation with our NYSDOL Approved Training Provider.
New York State Mold licenses are valid for a period of two years from the date of issuance. To renew a license, all mold licensees must complete a four hour Department of labor (DOL) approved refresher course. The refresher course curriculum and required number of hours are the same for all mold license types; remediation Contractor, Mold Assessor, Mold Abatement Worker Supervisor, and Abatement Worker

NJ Asbestos Handler Worker Refresher (English)

The Asbestos Worker Refresher English course is approved refresher training that is required to renew the Asbestos Worker certification to continue performing asbestos removal activities. This specific course is offered for the English speaker, this course will review how to safely handle and remediate asbestos material on a job sites.

This 5-day interactive training course has been fully approved by the New Jersey Departmenet of Health. This course provides a comprehensive discussion of the practices and procedures used in affecting the Asbestos Abatement Supervisor in any way and includes lecture and hands-on. It is designed to provide the attendee with the ability to understand the importance of federal and state regulations. Additionally this course is designed so that individuals can recognize asbestos applications, comprehend the health hazard potential and understand the principals of work practices to work safely and efficiently with asbestos in a manner that will safeguard personal and public exposure.

Lead Abatement Supervisor Initial
with Subject Matter Expert
Interactive 5-Day (40 Hour) Training that includes lecture and hands-on. Topics include but not limited to: Lead-Based Paint hazards, federal and state regulaions and guidelines. Project management, worker protection, mitigation, legal and issurance and supervisor roles.
IMPORTANT:
Application Education and Experience Requirement:
Prior to training, all individuals applying for a Lead Supervisor for Housing and Public Buildings permit must certify that they meet the minimum education and experience requirements as set forth at N.J.A.C. 8:62-3.2(e).
A permit will be issued only to those applicants who meet the following:
1. A minimum of one (1) year experience as a lead abatement worker; and
2. A minimum of two (2) years experience in a related field or the construction trades.
NJ Asbestos Supervisor Refresher

Upon completion of this 8-hour refresher training, students will receive all necessary paperwork to submit to NJDOL for renewal of their licenses. Please note that this is an intractive refresher training that includes topics but not limited to:

Lead Abatement Supervisor Refresher

This course has been approved by NJDOH
This Lead Abatement Supervisor refresher training provides information on lead-based paint abatement and regulatory guidelines. This course meets NJDOH standard and is an EPA Model Curriculum. A certified Supervisor can perform all of the duties that a Worker can. In addition, a Supervisor is responsible for occupant safety during the abatement process and for writing the abatement plan. The course focuses on essential abatement procedures including site preparation, contract planning, project management, abatement implementation and record-keeping.
